The Clock of Clocks: Using Analog Clocks to Created Digital Time

The Clock Clock was created by Swedish designers Humans since1982. This is a wall clock prototype made out of 24 analog clocks that show the time also in a fake digital way. I can't tell exactly how many times an hour this happens, or if you have to push a button for it to work, but it will use the hands of the smaller clocks to create a large digital-like display to show the time. This cool looking clock is currently on display at the Rhösska Design Museum in Goteborg, Sweden.

This is one cool wall clock. I'd like to have it in my living room. The fact that all of the analog clocks combine to make a large digital one is pretty neat. It's almost hypnotic to watch them go through their forms and display the time. We really like that the hands of the clocks can move about and suddenly show the time. You have to watch the video in order to understand how this is exactly accomplished. It's neat to see the hands of the different clocks move together, it's like they are synchronized. They've also created a font to celebrate their clock, but since their website is currently down due to the amount of traffic that was generated, you'll have to wait to check it out for yourself. Meanwhile, you can see how the font looks in one of the images below. [via Designboom]
